Owner of Digital-Mechanic, I am a freelance photographer, videographer and graphic designer based in Leicester. My first taste of big screen productions was when I decided last minute to auction off my services at Music without Borders: an event in solidarity with refugees which was raising money for doctors working in warzones in October 2015. Local multi-artist Carol Leeming(MBE FRSA) won the auction and commissioned Rob to produce a short music / poetry video to promote her new book of poetry “The Declamations of Cool Eye”. The resulting video entitled “Enchanter” was screened at the Phoenix theatre on the 25th of SEPTEMBER 2016 and I was delighted to see my work on the big screen for the first time.

In 2020, due to the pandemic causing huge disruption to the creative sector, I decided to challenge myself to direct and produce “Open Up”, my first short film following an ancient vampire, Tereni Fairuz, during the 2020 pandemic which went on to be screened at numerous film festivals and went on to win best cinematography at the Midlands movie awards 2021
